Botanical Gardens
Exotic plants are in bloom all year round in this fantasy world. Though a little lacking in fauna, it makes up with a immense variety of flora. Located in the Tanglin city area, it occupies a breathtaking 52 hectares. Over the years, it has been used as an experimental ground for various scientific research by the Primary Production Department as it is the only garden available in Singapore that houses many species of local flora. Examples of local plants with variety overstretching that can be found there are orchids, bougainvillea, frangipani, palms and the periwinkle.
Worth taking a glimpse at is
Singapore's self-bred national flower, the exotic Vanda Miss Joaquim. It has a cool shade
of violet flanked by creamy white petals. A panorama of plants awaits you at the magical
lush green tropical Botanical gardens of Singapore.
