Recently restored, this former chapel located at Victoria Road, used to be home to students of CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School (founded by Fr. Nicholas Barre). Exuding a gothic charm of centuries long past, it stands out among its modern surroundings. Now a preserved monumental site specializing in posh food outlets, its serenity beckons city-dwellers to dine and marvel at the elegance and olden school ambience. CHIJMES building tours are available (see table below), as well as gift shops. Consisting of two main buildings, CHIJMES Hall(normally booked for major private functions) and Caldwell House, this historical landmark never fails to enchant visitors.
